2003 Solar CCD images

ALWAYS remember to use an approved solar filter that fits securely over the front of the telescope to do any imaging or visual work with the Sun.

2003-10-25. Sun spots 484 and 486.

Both of these spots are the size of Jupiter, and are the largest seen in the last few years since Solar maximum. This an average of 20 images using 'K3CCD tools' of sunspot 484. It was taken on 2003-10-25 at around 13:45UT. I applied an unsharp mask filter in AstroArt 2 to bring out the detail. I used my Phillips ToUcam pro at prime focus of my LX200.
